Social activist and India Against Corruption leader Anna Hazare on Wednesday wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying that he would continue campaign in Delhi till Lokayuktas were appointed.
He added that he would persist with his campaign until the recommendations of Swaminathan Report was implemented. The Swaminathan report, talks about food security and farmers’ welfare.
In a letter, the activist wrote that his protest will be aimed at the Modi government and their ignorance of the repeated letters he wrote to them asking for the appointment of Lokpal.
"I kept reminding your government on the appointment of Lokpal and Lokayukts as for three years now. I have also been reminding about the welfare of farmers. But neither did your government reply to my letters, not did you take any action. Anna Hazare
Hazare had written a letter to the prime minister in March this year, expressing his displeasure over the non-implementation of the Lokpal.
The 80-year-old, in his letter, also said that he will be announcing the dates for the protest soon.
